LIVE LOVE ARCH | Series of lectures | Summer 2016
The current series of lectures at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) is about the design processes of architecture and the question of what drives architects.
These lectures, which are entitled LIVE LOVE ARCH, are an opportunity for students in the Department of Architecture to explore this debate with a multitude of contemporary approaches and philosophies in the summer semester of 2016.
Jan Kampshoff from modulorbeat in Münster will be the first to speak on 27 April, asking questions about vision and process. modulorbeat is a network of architects, urbanists, and designers. They are known for their temporary, experimental structures.
All the speakers have one thing in common: their offices are fresh, radical, and optimistic. They represent design processes that do more than just solve problems; they ask questions. The aim of this series of lectures is to comprehend, demonstrate, and establish this spirit of optimism.
The Karlsruhe Institute of Technology’s Department of Architecture has a longstanding tradition of holding lecture series on Wednesdays and is continuing this with LIVE LOVE ARCH. The Sto Foundation is supporting this lecture series that the students at KIT have been organising since summer 2015.
Entrance to all the events is free.
