AIT Scholarship

for students of interior architecture

The AIT Scholarship supports international talent in interior architecture and related degree programs such as Scenography, Spatial Design, and Spatial Strategies. The Sto Foundation, in cooperation with the trade journal AIT, has awarded the Interior Scholarship twelve times, honoring students for their ideas and creative thinking.

With this scholarship, we support gifted students from the fourth semester onwards for one year. This allows them to focus on their studies and offers them the opportunity to present their work: either in a special area in one of the AIT Architecture Salons or as part of an exhibition design at a trade fair.

Applicants for the scholarship are assigned a task on a current topic. A jury discusses the quality of the submitted course work and the designs for the impromptu task. This jury consists of (interior) architects, university professors, and representatives of the trade journal AIT. They evaluate the entries based on aspects such as personal perspective, creative thinking, holistic project consideration, and the independence of the respective position. This should combine the complexity of social responsibility with individual design intent.
