Energy and resource preservation are increasingly important factors when it comes to designing buildings and urban planning across the globe. That makes know-how in the areas of sustainable architecture and built environment even more important. And it is precisely that know-how that is being offered by Green.Building.Solutions., which is being held in Vienna from 22 July to 13 August.

G.B.S. combines the expertise of six Austrian universities and insti-tutes. The three-week, interdisciplinary summer program includes workshops, lectures and social events. It is being organised by the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU) and the OeAD-Wohnraumverwaltung (living space administration).

The Sto Foundation is supporting the international summer school with scholarships and a practical workshop. In 2017, participants can once again gain hands-on experience. Eight students and four journeymen worked on four wall models for one week in mixed teams and learned to expertly handle contemporary external wall insulation systems.

Individuals studying architecture, construction management, project management, civil engineering, energy technology, surveying or simi-lar courses of study have until June 2017 to apply to Green.Building.Solutions 2017 at http://summer-university.net/study-abroad/green-building-solutions-vienna/apply-now/ as well as the hands-on workshop.
